Lizzie founded her design business in 2010, concentrating on print and fabric design. Inspired by nature Lizzie’s designs often feature floral patterns and foliage. Lizzie is drawn to pattern and through her designs she hopes to share her passion for beautiful things. Lizzie is based in Chalford in the Golden Valley not far from Stroud, where from her studio she creates her designs. These start as basic sketches that are then carved into lino blocks and transferred to fabric, creating cloth, which is guaranteed to bring joy to any home. Fabrics are used to create gorgeous cushions, lampshades and toiletry bags or can be purchased as lengths of cloth for bespoke projects. Cloth is digitally printed in the UK using environmentally friendly practices.

New creative directions
Recently, Lizzie has expanded her homewares range into utterly delightful hand built pottery. She is gradually developing her range and so far, has created a collection of joyful soap dishes. These are so pretty and really practical too!

Lizzie is also developing her gorgeous Meadows collection, which includes mugs, expresso cups, bud vases, platters and cheese plates. We, at Handmade In – Painswick are very excited to see this new work and love the pieces that Lizzie has delivered to the shop, which are also proving very popular with our discerning customers!

We are fortunate to have Lizzie as one of the artists we work with and are very pleased to be going into our fourth year of working together. Lizzie’s work is always of the highest quality, is beautiful, practical and just makes you feel happy!
Handmade items are created slowly and intentionally, and appeal to those who care about where their belongings have come from and like the fact that they come with their own story which begins with the maker.
We can’t wait to see what else comes from Lizzie’s creative, clever hands to grace the shelves of our curated store in Painswick!
