Little Earthquake Pots by Charlie Clark

Charlie Clarke creates beautiful functional homeware designs at her off grid studio in Nympsfield. She finds singularity in the clay and allows it to speak through the design, knowing that the clay will respond to mood and touch. Her signature ochre glaze is achieved through a reduction technique, starving the kiln of oxygen at nearly the top temperature of a few hundred degrees, which alters the colour from green to red to orange.

Charlie also draws beautiful designs, inspired by nature and wildlife onto some pieces. These unique items are much prized.

Charlie teaches and runs expriential 'clay dates' from her home studio and also welcomes private commissions.
