Karen Green is an artist living in Leonard Stanley, painting botanical subjects in watercolour inspired by the beauty of the changing seasons. She is fascinated by the intelligence of plants, how humans have relied on them for their survival and flourishment; their healing and medicinal powers and the symbolism and language of flowers in folklore, religion and spirituality.

With a first honours arts degree, Karen began studying the subject of botanical illustration in 2014. Combining her artistry with continual botanical research, she exhibits regularly across Gloucestershire and runs workshops in botanical painting. She also welcomes private commissions.
